Hyundai Nepal To Launch The Sub-4m Aura Sedan Soon

Hyundai Nepal is gearing up for the launch of the Aura sedan.  The Hyundai Aura is a sub-4m compact sedan based on the company's Grand i10 Nios and shares a lot of its underpinnings, exterior, and interior bits with the hatchback. The Aura is a replacement of the Xcent compact sedan.While it’s underpinnings and its overall shape, especially borrows from the Grand i10 Nios, the rear section with the added boot with all-new rear styling. The vehicle front profile showcases Twin Boomerang Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) integrated with Premium Satin Front Grille with Projector type Head Lamps & Fog Lamps. The side profile indicates a coupe-like styling with solid wheel-arches created by two character lines and R15 Diamond-Cut alloy wheel.The Aura has an identical wheelbase of 2,450mm as the Nios hatchback. However, being a sedan, the Aura is naturally longer measuring in at 3,995mm, 190mm longer than the hatchback. The front passengers get maximum legroom of 1050mm, while the rear passengers have 885mm of legroom. The boot capacity of the Hyundai Aura is claimed to measure at 402 liters. Hyundai claims that the seats in the rear have been designed to deliver better thigh supports as well as side bolster support. The rear bench has also been optimized for comfortable seating for three passengers.On the inside, you are greeted with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 5.3-inch digital speedometer, and MID for the driver’s instrument cluster, wireless charging and many more. The main infotainment screen also functions as a rearview monitor that provides a live feed from the rear camera. Other nifty equipment in the Aura include an Arkamys sound system with Hyundai iblue app connectivity and eco coating for the AC.The Hyundai Aura is available with three engine options in the Indian market. It comes with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder BS6 T-GDI turbocharged petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission that makes 99 bhp and 171 Nm of torque. The other two on offer are a 1.2-liter 4-cylinder MPI BS-6 petrol mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox that makes 81 bhp and 113Nm of torque. Lastly, a first-in-segment 1.2-litre 4-cylinder BS6 ECOTORQ turbodiesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox that makes 74 bhp and 190Nm of torque.The Hyundai Aura will rival the likes of Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor.
